Campus & Facility Master Planning
Comprehensive analysis and long range planning studies for landscape related improvements are integral to the development of successful master planning efforts. UCDC has collaborated with the campuses of educational and medical facilities, as well as commercial and recreational multi-acre properties.
Research and background information gathering typically involves visual and engineering related surveys, assessments of existing conditions and facilities, program studies, and most importantly, interviews and group discussions with students, patients, faculty, staff, users and other stake holders. Conceptual design and alternative schemes with opportunity and constraint analysis are included to provide guidance for future decisions.
UCDC was a key contributor to master planning efforts on the urban reforestation master plan for the City and County of Honolulu and the landscape master plan for the Marine Corp Base Hawai`i on the island of O`ahu.
